As the foundation of the subtle realms, AUM can be gathered and formed into an information imprint. One of our most popular products, practitioners and non-professionals alike find it very useful for its calming and balancing quality.

First described in the early Vedic texts of Hinduism, AUM as the original sound gradually became a part of Buddhism. Today it is used in a wide variety of Indian and global spiritual traditions.

As many of you know, AUM is best experienced first hand, by chanting. The feeling that results is not easily described as it can be as simple as a feeling of peace and as profound as enlightenment. What we are doing here is creating a portal for the original sound to work its way through us; a reminder of our Origin. And by being reminded – at aetherea we would say Knowing What Healthy feels like!® – to release tension and relax.

Taken regularly, it can work in at least a couple of different ways. For most people, it brings a sense of peace and calm and is very useful for this purpose. Think of it as a form of spiritual noise-cancellation. When used as a part of a meditative practice, it can potentiate that process, aiding in understanding where blockages to the Seed Sound echoing throughout our body, soul and spirit.

A note for anyone that might not have sounded AUM before – it’s a three part sound – Ahh, Ooo (as in moon), Mmmm – with approximately equal time spent on each sound. One of the standard practices is to sound the first AUM loudly, the second one softer and the third one very quietly, then pausing to listen to the silence before beginning again.
