Iron rose quartz, scientifically known as ferruginous quartz, was named and identified by Dr. Robert Gilbert of The Vesica Institute. Iron Rose Quartz combines the gentle supportive qualities of Rose quartz with the strengthening energizing qualities of Hematite (Iron).
Dr. Gilbert was the first person to describe Iron rose quartz as an adaptogenic stone. Adaptogens have been identified in herbal literature for quite some time. Dr. Gilbert’s identification of the adaptogenic qualities of certain crystals is a wonderful addition to the crystal materia medica.
Adaptogens help us adapt. If we’re stressed, they can help relieve stress. If tired, they can help strengthen. If wired, they can help us relax. We take life’s ups and downs with greater ease.
